Deadline reports that both Fernandez and Harry Shum Jr. have come aboard the thriller, written and directed by Mike Gan. They join a cast that includes Josh Hutcherson, Suki Waterhouse and Tilda Cobham-Hervey.

“The film follows a lonely, unstable gas station attendant Melinda (Cobham-Hervey), tired of being overshadowed by her more confident, outgoing co-worker Sheila (Waterhouse). When the gas station is held at gunpoint by Billy (Hutcherson), a desperate man in need of quick cash, Melinda finds an opportunity to make a connection with the robber, regardless of who gets hurt.”

Fernandez plays Perry, Sheila’s boyfriend who finds himself unwittingly enmeshed in Melinda’s dangerous games. Shum Jr. will play Officer Liu, a wholesome local police officer subject to the obsessive affections of Melinda.

Yale Productions’ Jordan Yale Levine, Jordan Beckerman, Michael J. Rothstein and Russ Posternak are producing with Sukee Chew of Hopscotch Pictures and Ash Christian of Cranium Entertainment.

Shiloh Fernandez has joined the cast of Green Dolphin in a key supporting role.

As previously announced, the coming-of-age film stars Justine Skye, Tyler Dean Flores and Seann William Scott.

The road movie follows 15-year-old Robinson (Flores) and 20-year-old Keesha (JSkye) as they venture cross-country in an attempt to escape the grasp of abusive foster parent and drug-dealer Martin (Scott). When they break down midway, Keesha and Robinson meet Edwin (Fernandez) and a new family that could turn their life around.

Written and directed by Chris Kenneally (in his narrative feature film debut), Green Dolphin is being produced by Russell Geyser of RainMaker Films, Jordan Yale Levine and Jordan Beckerman of Yale Productions and Shruti Ganguly of Honto88. Great news! Long Nights Short Mornings is getting released next week on VOD! You can already pre-order it on Amazon.com and iTunes.

James breaks it off with Katie, but feels bad about it. He doesn’t like hurting people. At least he’s seeing Monica tonight, she’s always fun. He doesn’t connect with her though, not like with Sarah – but they’re just friends. He was close with Natalie too, until she moved to LA. That reminds him, he’s going to work with that actress, Anna something. She’s probably too famous to talk to him though. And besides, Lily should be back soon and he really wants to see her. Sometimes he misses Lorraine, but thinking about her just makes him sad. Whenever he feels lonely, he texts Rapunzel – that’s not her name, he just can’t remember it. He should really delete her from his phone. But he can’t.

Recently divorced and laid off from his job, Elliot Baker (Joel Kinnaman, Suicide Squad; Run All Night) is desperate to spend more time bonding with his sons, Bradley (Tom Holland, Captain America: Civil War) and Caleb (Percy Hynes White, Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb). What starts as family day trip to teach his boys how to shoot turns into a nightmare when they become stranded. As they retreat to a desolate cabin, Elliot’s mounting fear of losing custody pushes him to the edge. The brothers quickly realize that the man responsible for keeping them safe has now become their biggest threat.
